Short answers for the counter. Tap a question to jump to it.

Which job do I pick on New entry?

Tap one of the four buttons at the top — the same four are on the Dashboard: Money transfer (you send money for the customer — they pay cash, online or later),AEPS withdrawal or Micro ATM (money comes from their bank and you give cash), or Service charges (only your fee — PAN, forms, printing: the customer’s number, which service, your fee). Then fill the cards from top to bottom: Amount & charge, Customer handed you (Cash, Online, Pay later, or Part cash, part online), You handed back, Customer details.

Nothing is chosen for you under You handed back. On a Money transfer — tap one every time: Handed back online (you sent the money from a bank or wallet),Handed back cash (only when the customer paid online: their UPI reached your bank and you gave them cash) or Not sent yet (you still owe the customer). AEPS withdrawal and Micro ATM work the same way — nothing is chosen: tap Cash or Online (you paid the customer by UPI) every time.

If something is missing when you press Save, the box turns red with a short message under it, the screen jumps to it, and a line at the top says how many fields to fix. Your charge goes into the account the money came through (AEPS: the wallet, where the provider credits commission). Reference, note and date are under More details.Customer cash in and Customer cash out on the Dashboard count customer jobs and dues paid in cash only — not loans, owner’s money, own transfers or expenses. Daily closing shows All cash in and All cash out: everything that went into or out of the drawer.

Entries without a customer have their own pages: Expenses (with totals by category),Provider commission (commission credited later, next to what you earned on entries) andAccounts → Own transfers (moving your own money between cash, banks and wallets).

Finding and fixing entries

Entries lists everything: search by number, name, mobile, amount or reference; choose a period and a type (Cash in, Cash out, Expenses…). Tap an entry to see where the money moved, who entered it and its history.

Made a mistake? Open the entry and tap Undo this entry. Nothing is deleted: an Undo entry puts every rupee back and the original is marked Undone. The undo is dated on the day of the mistake, so that day’s totals become right again and, if the day was already closed, its closing is marked for a re-check. Then enter it again correctly.

Only the note and reference of an entry can be edited; amounts and accounts cannot.

Dues: money customers owe you

Dues shows what customers still owe for services — Overdue, Due today, Upcoming, Paid. Each row has Payment received and a ⋮ menu with Call, WhatsApp reminder, Change date and the entry. Part payments are fine. Reminders you send are noted on the due.

A due is created when an entry is paid Due (will pay later) or when you record Given on credit. Money you lent to someone and money you owe are not dues: they live under Loans & owner money.

Loans & owner money

One page for money that is not income: Borrowed (loans and advances the shop took — “To return”), Lent (money you gave someone who will return it),Owner’s money (your own money put into the shop or taken out) and Settled. Use + Add for all of these. Interest paid is counted once, as an expense.

Accounts and “Your position”

Accounts lists every place money is kept — cash drawers, banks, wallets — with today’s balance. Tap an account for its statement; use ⋮ for Edit, Statement and Correct balance.

Your position at the top is one number: what you have + what is owed to you − what you owe. Your own money in the shop is shown separately.

A balance that does not match reality is fixed with a Balance correction entry (New entry → Balance correction, or the account’s ⋮ → Correct balance). A reason is required and it appears in reports as a correction, never as money in or out.

Daily closing

Every evening: count the cash in each drawer and type it in (or count by notes). The app shows what should be there and the difference, then Close the day. If the count does not match, you can close with the difference (add a note) or, as the owner, correct the balance to the counted cash.

Closing a day again replaces the earlier count; the first one stays in Activity. If an older entry is undone after its day was closed, that day shows “Changed after close — please re-check”.

Reports, statements and downloads

Reports has four tabs. Summary: totals for a period, net earning (commission + service charges − expenses), day by day, and breakdowns by type, account and staff.Statements: a bank-style statement of one account or the Day Book of all accounts, with Print / Save PDF and CSV. Money flow: where the money came from and went. Closing history: every day’s closing.

On a phone, wide tables show the main columns; turn the phone or use a computer for every column.

Customers and khata

Open a customer to see their khata — the passbook of what they took on credit and paid back — and all their entries. From the khata you can take a payment, send a WhatsApp reminder or Share khata as text or PDF.Statement on the customer page lists every entry made with them. Personal details can be removed when a customer asks.

Services (the help book)

Services is your own list of what each service needs: documents to collect, government fee, your charge, steps and notes. Staff open it at the counter and tick documents with the customer; the owner edits it under Set-up.

Staff logins and permissions

Everyone — owner and staff — logs in with their own email and password. The owner adds staff from Staff → Add staff by email; they get an invitation and choose a password. A preset (Counter staff, Senior staff, Manager) sets what they can see and do; Customise permissions changes single switches. Staff never see balances they are not allowed to see.

The Activity tab shows who did what — entries, undo, logins, downloads, settings.

Phones and computers (devices)

Settings → Devices lists every phone and computer that opened the CSC, with the app build it runs. If a phone is lost or a person leaves, Remove locks it at once and ends its login; you can allow it again later.

No internet? Sync

Keep working. Entries are saved on this device (“Waiting to sync”) and upload by themselves when the internet returns. The pill at the top shows Synced, Syncing, how many are waiting, or Offline.

If the server does not accept an entry (for example an account was deactivated meanwhile), it is marked Needs review and shown on the Dashboard and on the Sync page; it was not counted in any balance. Open it, then remove it or enter it again correctly. Do not log out while entries are waiting — the app warns you.

App updates and version

When a new version is ready you see “Update ready” once — tap Update, or Later and it installs by itself the next time you open the app. A small dot on the account menu reminds you.Settings → About shows the version you are running, when it was built, Check for updates and Update now.

Plan & billing

Settings → Plan & billing shows your plan, how many days are left and your usage; renew by UPI and send the payment reference from the same screen. Your data is never deleted when a plan ends — new entries pause until it is renewed. Quote the CSC reference number from Settings when you contact support.

Entries not synced yet

saved on this device have not reached the server. Connect to the internet and wait for “Synced” before logging out, or they will be lost.
